Winter Wonders

Hi everyone! It's been a while since I last blogged, but I just wanted to share my latest photos. We're having a mild winter in the countryside of New York. We didn't get much snow, except for one major blizzard. But otherwise, it hasn't been that cold and the sunsets have been dramatic and colorful.

Here is a closeup of another sunset in the woods. The spectrum of colors from gold to pink to purple to blue is so pretty. Winter sunsets can be truly soothing, if you take the time to watch them..

Just a light dusting of snow here in the woods and amidst rocks.

Here is a wider shot. It does look very peaceful.

Despite the cold, these little plants on my windowsill decided to bloom unexpectedly. They are the only flowers I have seen so far, but they surely bring the promise of Spring. I will see you all again soon with pictures of the next wonderful season. Meanwhile, stay warm! Have a great weekend! xo

  1. It retains the chills just looking at the snowy pics. But the flowers present a balance of the ensuing days. Thanks for sharing Loredana!

  2. Great shots indeed. We've only had a few storms too, been cold though, ugg to that. But no snow is a win.

  3. These sunsets are so beautiful, Loredana!
We had a relatively mild winter also...until last week.
Stella was a historic storm for us.
I am SO MUCH looking forward to spring.

    1. Thanks, Lisa! Yes, the blizzard last week brought over a foot of snow here, but it's beginning to melt now. Should be nice next week xo :)

  4. Hi Lori, Your photos look like mine! Thanks for sharing. Saw a great sunset last week from my house. Are the indoor flowers kalanchoes? Blooming in Feb and March are right on time.

    1. Thanks, Stephanie! Yes, I think so, they are miniature kalanchoes. xo

Thank you for visiting my blog from all over the world and for your wonderful comments!
