Love & Light

let peace
illuminate
the city of lights

let peace
illuminate the world

today, we pray
we grieve
but do not fear

let hope
prevail
despite despair

fall in love again
under a starlit sky

in the city of lights
its people healed
their hearts renewed

let love
surround them
like a beacon of light

today, we pray
we are Paris

I was deeply saddened by the terrorist attacks on Paris on Friday night. I pray for the families of the victims, for peace and healing. This picture was taken at my Church, such beautiful and peaceful light emanating from the stained glass windows.

Sending love and light to Paris. xo

light through

illuminating the heart

  5. Yes, let's hope that hope prevails....even in the light of the sometimes feelings of hopelessness to do much at all. I do hope the Parisians / the French do feel the love.

  6. This is a beautiful response to the tragic events...may people keep falling in love under the Parisian sky.....the best response to the savagery of such an event - to go on living, and loving. I loved this very welcome response to what happened in Paris. Thank you.

  12. Thank you for this reflection: We can't go on, we go on, always. But to come fully alive and thrive again as you wish will be the challenge.

  14. As the others have said, this is a great response to the attacks. People in France have vowed not to be intimidated. They plan to continue to dine out and have drinks with friends. Hopefully life and love will win.
