Postcards from the Moon

the moon smiles
to those who live beneath her nightly glow

knowing little about what transpires
in the heavens above

a well-kept secret
she whispers only to the stars

leaving us in the dark
but for a glimpse of moonbeams

postcards with no return address

I took this picture tonight with my phone and had fun creating digital art to make it look like a postcard. This inspired the title of the poem first and then the verses just flowed. Isn't the moon mysterious, so good at keeping secrets! Enjoy and have a nice weekend! xx

  8. It's quite wonderful to live in awe of a little mystery instead of knowing everything, isn't it? Moonbeam postcards are gifts of love.

  10. The moon can be trusted not to tell your secrets, the best confidante to have.

  11. I like the thought of the moon smiling on those below...the moon was very shiny last night even though not in full phase. It really lit up the sky,
