November Skies & Flowers

i wonder what lies beyond
November skies ~ do flowers
bloom over and above the moon?

I love how November skies look so dramatic against the golden and red hues of Autumn. There are still flowers blooming at this time of the year. I was pleasantly surprised to find so many colorful blooms--zinnias, daisies, and mums among them. I took these pictures at a nearby farm in the countryside of New York, and created a mosaic of flower macros. My haiku is contemplative today. I am just amazed by the beauty and mystery of the universe. And so that is the question that came to me. Something to ponder for the day!

  11. Gorgeous words and beautiful photos, Loredana. I happened upon a little bed of zinnias a couple of weeks ago...the last bright blooms before a hard frost took them. November is such a grey month that it's extra special when you happen upon some color.

Un invito forte alla speranza, in un mese dove si ricordano i nostri cari che non sono più con noi . Ti auguro una bella settimana,e tanti fiori da ammirare.Abbraccio,Rita.

  18. I so agree with you about November skies, Loredana.
Especially over the past few days when the weather has become so changeable, so quickly. We've had a really stormy, but really beautiful sky all day today.

  29. Beautiful. I too love steel grey skies behind golden leaves...amazing, isn't it? And I often look at common wonders, like flowers, and remind myself that they exist nowhere else in all the universe. I find that thought heightens one's appreciation considerably. ;-)

    1. A week ago, I noticed for the first time how low the sun was in mid-afternoon... And tonight, I was out walking and was surprised by the nearly full moon shining through the trees that bare 28 days had leaves. I am always surprised by these two experiences, but they happen every year.
