Country Road

on this country road
our dreams are intertwined like rose vines
the scent of pines tickles our senses
spring colors our lives
in every shade of the rainbow

all is still but for a hummingbird's song
reminding us that dreams come true
when we break the silence
let our voices soar
into the blueness of the sky

This weekend, my husband and I went for a lovely country drive, soaking in all the beautiful colors and scents of Spring.

I took the first three photos at a beautiful farm in Northwestern, Connecticut,
The White Flower Farm.

Here is a reflection in a brook I captured on the way back home.
Spring green is wonderful!

April is National Poetry Month. I have written as many poems as I could in April, and I'm squeezing one more in before midnight. Expressing myself creatively through writing and photography is something I enjoy very much. Thank you for your lovely comments, which make for an interesting, interactive discussion on my blog. It's been great reading so many wonderful poems in the blogosphere this month. Write on! Let our voices soar. xx

  5. Spring is a wonderful season for SOAKING in all of nature's beauty. I see by your photos that your spring is a bit ahead of ours. Our trees don't have a BIT of green quite yet. I like 'let our voices soar into the blueness of the sky.' To that, I say YES!!
