Summer Memories

Awakening-
I dream of summer;
rose petals on my pillow
~ ~ ~
It's been such a wonderful summer, and some of my most cherished memories are of roses and sunshine. I can still dream, can't I? Of sunny days and walks in nature. Of blue skies and gentle breezes. Of colorful flowers and luscious greens. Of special times spent with loved ones, family, and friends. As summer fades away, I'm getting ready to embrace autumn and dream of more wonderful things ahead. I look forward to the change of seasons and making my home cozy and inviting. Summer is still in my heart as I welcome autumn with open arms and a positive attitude. New season, new dreams.

  What about you? What are your favorite summer memories and
what do you look forward to in autumn?

  5. Don't ever stop dreaming ... every season brings new memories and also new dreams. I also dream of new beginnings in Spring for example. Summer here wasn't a good one, I dream of better ones yet to come.

  8. Love your rose petals on the pillowcase.

    The best part of summer is that winter is as far away as possible. Autumn is my favorite time of year, so I welcome it's arrival. I think it's a throwback emotion linked to the beginning of a school year, but it always awakens a quickening in me.

  9. Such a sweet dream. It is sad to see summer leave us, but I will have good memories of spending time with loved ones in the warm summer sun. It's nice to look forward to a new season of falling leaves in the Autumn breeze. xx

  12. Love the paradoxical opening. "Awakening; I dream. . . " creates a fantastic mood. The last line is so soft and romantic. Great haiku!
