Seashore Haiku

This is my contribution to Haiku Heights at http://haiku-heights.blogspot.com/ for the haiku challenge. The prompt today is seashore. I just wrote a series of three haiku in a 5-7-5 syllabic form. These haiku were written from my heart and soul and memoir. The first photograph was taken from a ferryboat on the Mediterranean Sea on a recent trip to Italy. I have a deep connection to the Mediterranean Sea, which brings me immense joy. The second photo is my favorite  beach in Salerno, Southern Italy. I'm contributing the photos to Blueberry Craft and Hobby Time at  http://blueberrycraftandhobbytime.blogspot.com/  for the Favourite Photo Monday. What a great way to start the week with memories of summer! Enjoy the haiku and the ocean views!

  1. You have painted us a beautiful picture with the words of your haiku. The good feelings of boating and walking on the beach in the sunshine. Well done.

    1. Thanks, Keith! I just changed the picture because this actually has a boat in it, and it's the view from the ferryboat we took. You can see a bit of the railing of the ferryboat on the left :)

    1. Thank you, Cheryl. You would love traveling to Italy. We actually got there by plane. Then, we took a ferryboat along the Mediterranean coast, and stopped at different seashores. Have a great week! :)

  13. Lovely picture and beautiful set of haiku...I like the nature weaving in your words...

If I may suggest to change: sand in our sandals...to: sand in my sandals, so its a perfect 5 syllabic count...hope you don't mind.

If this is your first haiku, I salute you ~ Cheers ~
